In the Chemical engineering department students are trained so that they can conceive , design , execute , and control units of physical and/or chemical transformation .
The Chemical engineering courses are divided into:
- Fundamental course
Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Mass Transfer, Heat Transfer and Optimisation.
- Application courses
Unit operations (absorption , distillation , extraction , drying ,
) , Reactors and kinetics , Control and regulation , System Dynamics , Effluents cleaning (gas , liquid , solid ) , Environment , Technology (Ovens and boilers, Frigorific devices , Pumps and compressors)
- Tool courses
Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Analytical Chemistry,
- General courses
Management, Economics , Languages (Arabic ,French ,and English ) .
Practical training in the Chemical - Process engineering department are done in the following laboratories:
- Heat Transfer
- Thermodynamics
- Hydraulics
- Analytical Chemistry
- Chemical Engineering where are installed the semi-industrial pilot systems.
